The STS Recording Philosophy
We receive many e-mails from audio fans all over the world always asking the same question: what motivates us to make such beautiful recordings and mastering’s. Here are our answers:
To begin with, we love music. It is a wonderful way to express our feelings and enables us to communicate with everyone equally.
The result is our fine selection of recordings. And our exceptionally high sound quality is highly acclaimed worldwide.
Fritz started recording when he was just a little boy. He would wander around the woods with a small recorder to capture various sounds. But this soon turned into music recordings. And at one point, he was even recording for Philips and various broadcasters.
We started small in the Netherlands. Then one day we received an email from Taiwan. We thought: "It’s from Taiwan, so it must be spam." But it was genuine ... Fortissimo Records wanted to place an order with us. And they are still one of our most loyal distributors. Also Open Reel to Reel in the UK. That’s how the ball started rolling. Now customers all over the world enjoy our products, and we’re quite proud of that.
This passion has only grown stronger. And that is why we launched STS Digital 25 years ago. We wanted to do something totally different. The result is our fine selection of recordings. And our exceptionally high sound quality is highly acclaimed worldwide.
